I dreamt I was a wolf and you killed me
I dreamt I was a beautiful white wolf and you were a skinny gray one
I was the pride of my pack
and you and I?
We were to be married
You were so pathetic
You couldn’t kill your own meat so I had to do it for you
We moved to a German village with some other wolves from our pack
Together we hunted
but you wouldn’t kill
no, you couldn’t kill
so I told you,
“Get your own food tonight, or you’re not a real wolf.”
You were scared
But you agreed anyways.
I wanted you to kill a chicken, deer, or anything!
JUST KILL SOMETHING
You snuck into a chicken farm with the intent of stealing and cooking two chicken
When a lady found you
a kind, beautiful woman.
(When we come in contact with other humans, we too take human forms ourselves)
You told her you didn’t want to kill
that you loved animals
You didn’t want to kill
You couldn’t do it
She took pity on you and let you sleep on her lap
meanwhile, I was at home, laughing with my pack
And then I get a call from you
You said,
“I’m with a lady right now,
She’s very kind and takes care of me.
And if you try to kill this kind lady I found,
I will kill you.”
The next day you and the lady were laughing in the backyard
You love her, I think
I walk in, alone, and smile at you.
You think I accept you and the lady so you smile back.
I turn to the lady
and I said,
“You know what this little prick told me?
He actually threatened me if I ever wanted to hurt you.
Me, his own wife.”
And I laugh, showing me fangs to her.
You stiffen, knowing what was about to come
I snap my fingers and my pack comes in,
they tear up the house
eat her relatives
and swallow her pets whole
I laugh and laugh
I grab the woman and threw her at you,
YOU WILL KILL HER
YOU HAVE TO KILL HER
FOR ME, FOR YOU
YOU HAVE TO KILL HER
But you wouldn’t kill her
You kept calling me a monster
We eat to survive, it can’t be helped
I took the lady and snapped her neck in front of you,
then I threw her on the ground for the rest of our pack to eat
You.
I don’t think I’ve seen so much hatred in your eyes before.
You run upstairs and try to escape
I follow you
YOU THINK YOU CAN RUN?
WE KILL TO EAT
WE KILL TO EAT
YOU WILL LOOK AT ME
I turn you around and gasp because
You never looked so cold before
You never looked like you wanted to kill me before
You hated me
“I LOVED her,” You snarled, “I was going to marry her and leave this place!
I hate killing, I don’t want to kill
but for the first time in my life,
I want to kill something.”
You held my hand, and I didn’t need to ask who
I growled at you
my pride was wounded and feelings were hurt
I really wanted to marry you
I throw you into the bathroom and lock you in
I run downstairs to my pack and to tell them we’re leaving
I didn’t hear you break down the bathroom door
I didn’t hear you sneak up behind me
Your hands are hot, pulsating with anger
and they clasp around my throat.
Well, I finally got you to kill something.
